Warning: May Make You Think

June 10, 2010

Val Prieto noted this over on Michelle Malkin’s site, along with several other things that make your mother wash your mouth out with soap.

A small publishing company is under fire after putting warning labels on copies of the U.S. Constitution, Declaration of Independence and other historical documents.

Wilder Publications warns readers of its reprints of the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, Common Sense, the Articles of Confederation, and the Federalist Papers , among others, that “This book is a product of its time and does not reflect the same values as it would if it were written today.”

Well, maybe it’s really time for warning labels on the Constitution, et al.  I have a few suggestions.  Feel free to add your own in the comments.

  • Warning: This will make you wonder why the Healthcare Bill is thousands of pages long
  • Warning: Don’t stand near, as many people are trying to shred this document
  • Warning: Exposure will cause reasonable thinking to occur
  • Warning: Inalienable means they’re basic and worth fighting for
  • Warning: These documents do not coddle the reader
  • Warning: May cause indegestion if you think about how they’re being treated today
  • Warning: Will make you want to go back to a simpler time
  • Warning: Second Ammendment is only as valid and viable as the others
  • Warning: Might cause snarky blog posts

Warning: waving in front of an Acorn affiliate might make their heads explode
Warning: Only those blessed by the church, I mean, Supreme Court, can interpret these docs ( I wonder if they’ll start printing it in Latin and having only a few specialists allowed to read it….)
