Modern equivalent of a farcical aquatic ceremony

May 20, 2011

King Arthur EU Teknocrat: I am your king.

Peasant Woman Greece: Well, I didn’t vote for you.

King Arthur EU Teknocrat: You don’t vote for kings.

……Dennis the Peasant Representative democratists: Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some non-representative Brussels mandate farcical aquatic ceremony

“The Euro is a money fit for shady double-dealers, rip-off merchants, criminals and cheats.”
        – Unknown German commentator

Better a parliament of sackable elected fools than an administration of arrogant unsackable enarques.
        – Robert Salisbury, on the future of the EU, “The Spectator”

Europe simply cannot get out and stay out of the 12th century. Whether economic policy or green policy, it’s as if they can’t get away from harkening for the good old days when Europe was the center of the world and peasants were ‘gifted’ by their lords to stay in their places and do what they’re told. (see Bishops, knights, queens, pawns and if you aren’t the king you better know the king). The EU and euro are fighting human and European gravity – there is no enlightened alternative to war in some grand utopian paradise ruled from Brussels.

Socialism isn’t by the people for the people – by any other name it’s updated medieval feudalism bequeathed not as much by birth (excepting the Kennedy’s) as it is by shared sense of inflated self worth and noblesse largesse towards the suckers huddled unintelligent masses who believe the teknocrats really do care.

Note that “Unintelligence” is not determined by IQ, cunning, or ambition – but whether or not the masses agree with you.

This is a fantastic article – explaining much of the reaction to the arrest of the head of the IMF

Replacing God: Almost everyone in the West, and many in the developing world, has bought into ... a hubristic notion that we have the knowledge and wisdom to organize our fellow men for a collective “good” that we define. Ancient emperors of the pagan world used to operate on this principle; the divine-right monarchs of Europe did so, as have Marxist revolutionaries, fascists, and autocratic rulers in the Islamic world…….Collectivist schemes produce only debt, resentment, discouragement, and want ….

The reaction of the liberals and the French? Jonah stole the words I was thinking (and wrote them far more eloquently)

Who is this lowly woman to accuse a great man of such base acts? And how dare America’s courts take her accusations seriously when it’s her word against the great Strauss-Kahn’s? …… Translation: Do you Americans know who he is?

I hadn’t realized there was an escape clause at the end of the French motto: “Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité (for the little people)!”

Find a socialist country where the leaders and elites are held to ANY rule of law standards – instead of finding multiple instances where the situation that led to the ruthless bitterness of Madame Defarge in “Tale of Two Cities” is repeated and enhanced by the leaders. The French revolution is shamed once again as a farce and a lie – it simply set up a more vulgar tasteless set of aristocratic thugs in place of the nobles they guillotined.
