Some Things You Never Forget

September 10, 2009

Let me tell you about a guy.  His name was Igor Zuckelman.

 Igor Zukelman

Igor was born in the Ukraine in 1972, and he emigrated to the US in 1992 to make a better life for himself.  He worked hard, saved his money to buy a car, to get married, to have a son.  He became a citizen of this great nation in 2001.  He enrolled in a computer school, and he got a great job in one of the most prominent buildings in the city where he lived.

He worked for the Fiduciary Trust Company.  On the 97th floor of the World Trade Center in New York City.

Mr. Zukelman died on September 11th, 2001, a victim of homicide by the terrorists who hijacked airplanes and killed 2,996 victims in New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania.  I wanted to take time, along with many, many other blogs to remember the victims on this harsh anniversary.  If you’d like to see more, please visit the Project 2996 Home Page.

Never forget.
