Title: Anthony Weiner is a Modern Human Being

Yup – so is whatshisface from the IMF. And so was Neville Chamberlain. And so is Barak Obama. And so are the “gimmee what is coming to me” generation. What priceless icons of “modern humans” we have before us. Almost makes you want to throw the baby out with the bathwater…

No wonder there’s a nostalgia for the ancient in so many people. The modern human beings are pompous, boring, unadventurous, stale, and wimps about fessing up for what they’re responsible for. ‘mistakes were made but NOT BY ME.” At least Attila the Hun said “I am taking civilization apart brick by brick. Any questions?”

Silliest line in the article: “Let he who is without sin…”

I think there are PLENTY of people who weren’t that stupid online and who then pathologically lied about it….

UPDATED:

Ok, I just have to point this one out. Father’s Day gifts set out at Target…a little sign that says “Dad: King of the Remote”

If that doesn’t indicate everything that’s pathetic about modern “enlightened” manhood, I don’t know what does.

I was doing everything I could to not say anything about it, but the “he’s a modern human” inspired me to say “yeah, that’s why GenX and millenials think modernity sucks. Thanks for the reminder”

I’ve purposefully avoided discussing this on the blog, but since you started…

It amazes me that people are giving him a pass. The stuff he was doing was getting progressively worse over time, and that probably means that he saved himself from a ton of grief by getting caught before he did something truly reprehensible.

I don’t get what it is about power that makes people think that they’re above the fray. It makes me not want to ever have power.
